Mundy joins Ricoh (People)

Anthony Mundy (pic above) joins Coventry's Ricoh Arena as facilities director (17 July '07).

The 38-year-old leaves the flagship Millennium Point project in Birmingham where he was property director for four years. Mundy's
remit now extends to property owned by the Ricoh Arena and Coventry City FC and his technical expertise will be deployed in a myriad of areas from pitch maintenance and event management to tenancies and leases.

His first task at the £113 million venue was to oversee last month’s Bon Jovi concert. “I have been brought in to manage and oversee the operations for the Ricoh Arena and Coventry City which have been brought together following the takeover at the football club,” he said.

“We want to ensure that everyone who visits the Ricoh whether it is for an exhibition, conference, football match, concert, dinner or an overnight stay at the hotel has an enjoyable visit and wants to return.

“I will be in charge of the team who carry out a whole host of tasks behind the scenes to ensure the Ricoh remains one of Coventry’s landmark buildings.”

The father-of-two from Redditch reinforces his links with the city from a former role as maintenance manager at Marconi, now telent.

He added: “This is an extremely busy venue which is just what I’m used to and I’m looking forward to working with the team here to ensure the Ricoh continues to be one of the leading businesses in the region.”
