Ricoh team builds (People)

The £113 million Ricoh Arena in Coventry announces two key appointments in its sales and operations teams.
Abigail Parkin (11 Sept'08)
Dominic Fleming has joined the multi-purpose venue as head of sales and Jacqueline Brown is the new head of operations.
Dominic
Fleming, who previously held a similar position at The International
Centre, Telford, will be focusing on attracting more business from some
of the UK’s leading companies.
“The Ricoh Arena has all the
credentials to be a major player in the conference, event and
exhibition market in the UK,” said Fleming. “The events market has
changed enormously over the last three years and organisers are now
keen on booking venues which have everything they need under one roof.
“The
conference and exhibition facilities here along with the boutique
hotel, on-site car parking, the UK’s largest casino and a stadium bowl
which hosts Coventry City matches and international music artists means
that the Ricoh ticks every box.
“I will be leading the sales
team with the aim of bringing in major business in terms of
conferences, events and exhibitions because we want to book events that
are exceptional in terms of size and demands. It is a very competitive
industry and we want to push the Ricoh forward.”
Jacqueline
Brown was previously operations director for Crown Society Special
Event Caterers in London for eight years before moving to the Midlands.
“The
Ricoh Arena is a fabulous venue and I am looking forward to driving the
operations side of the business forward,” she said. “I will be
overseeing the standards of service at all the events, conferences,
exhibitions and sports matches that we hold along with being in charge
of the organisation and the catering facilities so it is extremely
varied.
“I relish new challenges and I’m sure my experience of
the corporate entertainment market will stand me in good stead at the
Ricoh.”
