Angel delight (Events - Launch party)

Mariah Carey rose to the theme on Friday at a glamorous launch party for her new album, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" and her unveiling of Angel, the most expensive champagne on the planet. Abigail Parkin (23 Nov '09)
Jalouse nightclub in Hanover Square, which won 'Best New Club' at this year's London Club & Bar awards hosted the event. Mariah Carey arrived with two Rolls-Royce Phantoms customised in her new Angel Champagne branding. Her entourage comprised two stylists, her own personal photographer to take only images of her, a personal DJ, a personal candle lighter (supplied by the club - to ensure none of her scented candles extinguished during the night), bouncers a-plenty and a further 20 or so people to cater for her.
Jalouse was dressed with hundreds of white stemmed roses, white and silver Hummingbird cup cakes and gold and black balloons lining the ceiling - and this was just in the reception area. An entire area of the club was redressed in beautiful think white fur, including a cashmere white carpet for her party heels to walk on.
The launch of her new champagne, Angel, fittingly saw her served the champagne by semi-naked male
Angels, covered in gold paint and adorned with angles wings. The world's most expensive champagne saw Jalouse out of its entire batch within the first two hours aand guest quaffed innumerable amounts of Grey Goose vodka. Guests also failed to keep their hands off the Platinum and Silver embossed Angel Champagne bottles which reportedly had to be removed from the handbags of more than one celebrity in attendance.
Guests who attended the party included Rupert Everett, Lady Victoria Hervey, Gerri Halliwell and her beau Henry Beckwith decided to step out of the VIP area and party on the dance floor with the rest of the revellers.
Other guests included Sir Philip Green who formed an unlikely alliance with Mariah Carey, Pixie Lott and Louis Walsh. The group was ensconced in Mariah's VVIP area in Jalouse with the cosy foursome talking for over an hour.
Actor Dominic Cooper and rugby star Danny Cipriani whipped up the swooning until Kelly Brook moved in and took up her man's side on the dancefloor.
While Mariah preferred to sing rather than dance she left Jalouse with her party in the early hours but not before wowing the club's members by with cordial chats and having pictures taken with them.
