Event Solutions boost (People)
Visit
London's specialist ‘Event Solutions’ offer has been strengthened with
the appointment of new executive, Emmy Cahoon (left).
The
Event Solutions team offers free and impartial advice to events
planners and businesses and Cahoon's role will include handling
enquiries from all over the world, sourcing venues for the clients and

Before
joining Visit London, Cahoon was account manager for the
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), where she was based at Heathrow
selling three hotels within the IHG portfolio. Previous to that, Cahoon
worked for hotel brand Jumeirah as a London regional sales
co-ordinator.
Cahoon, who will report direct to Fiona Plumpton, Visit London’s Event Solutions team manager said: "I’m delighted to be a part of a team that represents such an amazing city. Coming from a proactive sales background and with my previous knowledge of working in numerous London hotels allows me to understand both the client and the partner’s mutual needs and how we can satisfy both.”
Welcoming the appointment, Fiona Plumpton said: “With the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games we’re seeing a massive increase in enquiries coming in to London and therefore the Event Solutions team is incredibly important to making sure those enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Emmy has a great background and knowledge of London and we’re delighted to welcome her as part of the team.”
Visit
London stand at Confex 2009 will be #L200. The Visit London stand will
host a vast array of London’s very best conference spaces, events
venues and DMC’s - many of which will host or be involved in the
upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
