Autumn sees The Westbury Hotel on London’s Bond Street, unveil a lavish £20 million refurbishment.
The five star luxury hotel orginally opened in 1955 and was bought by a private family in May1999. It was restored to contemporary opulence by the talents of designer Alexander Kravetz.

General manager, Zeljko Stasevic, previously of Claridges, will plot The Westbury’s course as one of the most glamorous and comfortable hotels in London.
The RoomsThe hotel presents 249 refurbished rooms sporting modern and individual interiors with
all the luxuries expected from a five star hotel.
All rooms feature marble bathrooms, plasma screens and stunning views over London’s West End.
An exclusive guests’ only fitness suite, WIFI and ADSL/Broadband connection and 24-hour room service are also offered.
The Penthouse

The seventh floor Penthouse Suite promises the comfort and style that befits a £20m refurbishment. The spacious terrace (pictured above) outside affords views over two of London’s landmark green spaces, Hanover Square and Berkeley Square. The Suite has been attractive furnishings include plush sofas and rugs, parquet floor and a large wall-mounted plasma screen. The dining area accommodates up to 12 people. Ample space gives guest the flexibility of entertaining cocktail parties and sit down dinners alike. Two further deluxe suites on the same floor continue the high standards.
The Restaurant
Recently refurbished in an opulent Art Deco style, Artisan is open to both discerning residents and non-residents. Newly appointed head chef, Daniel Hillier, (of Royal Hospital Road, Claridges and Putney Bridge restaurants) has devised a delectable modern European menu to tempt diners’ palates. The Bar

The Polo Bar’s extensive Art Deco-inspired refurbishment positions it as one of the most comfortable and stylish bars in central London. Connoisseurs can expect to be impressed the range of finest cognacs, armagnacs and nearly 40 different whiskies. The bar’s innovative cocktail list honours the Westbury’s location with its Mayfair Rose, a concoction crafted with Raspberry Vodka, Rose Liqueur, champagne, fresh raspberries and lychee. Other delights include the Black Cherry and the Lavender Martini.
The Polo Bar also offers a food menu from 11am until 11pm, ranging from snacks such as duck spring rolls and crudités to more substantial salads and mains. Mains include chargrilled Scottish sirloin steak while desserts include caramelized banana tart with coffee banana ice cream. High tea is served in the bar and lobby area every day between 3pm and 6pm.
Event spaces
The Westbury co-ordinates all events within the elegant surroundings of four private rooms. An experienced team ensures that events are seamlessly run, whether it’s a meeting for 10 or a cocktail reception or product launch for 150. The Mount Vernon Room The Regency Room
