Cartier launches Inde Mysterieuse
Cartier launched its newest high jewellery collection, Inde Mysterieuse, during London Fashion Week, reports Kam Jaspal.. The event showcased this new collection, inspired by the mystery of India, to the international fashion community.
The cocktail dinner was one of Cartier’s most elaborate to date. The extraordinary setting of Lancaster House, one of London’s most prestigious landmarks, was transformed into an Indian palace and Cartier entertained British and international VIPs guests and eminent Cartier clients from around the world. Guests were greeted by lush Indian sari fabric and a huge, elaborate floral arrangement. This set the scene for the collection's pieces which included the128ct
Star of the South diamond and a D Flawless 63.66ct piece worn to glamorous effect by Bollywood actress, Bipasha Basu.
London was been chosen for this spectacular unveiling owing to Cartier London’s rich heritage and ties with India and its most famous Maharajahs.
This event marks the first international Cartier jewellery launch in London.

Lancaster House, Stable Yard, St James’s, London SW1
Lancaster House is a Grade I listed building and is the archetypal town house of the Victorian era. First commissioned by the Duke of York in 1825 and was first known as York House, Lancaster House is constructed from bath stone, in a neo-classical style, being the last great London mansion to use this essentially Georgian style. 
The interior was completed in 1840 and it was assessed for rating purposes as the most valuable private house in London. Lord Leverhulme purchased the house for the nation in 1913 and renamed it after his Lancastrian heritage. Briefly host to the London Museum, Lancaster House is now used for government hospitality.
Florist McQueen’s – simple posies of red and white roses were juxtaposed with a 12ft floral display of hydrangeas, roses, and classic British autumnal flowers in the magnificent entrance hall
