Arena Structures has successfully bid to supply part of the tentage structures for The 2010 Ryder Cup in Wales. Abigail Parkin 23 Sept'09
The
company emerged from a rigorous tender process to win the contract and
its triple-decker structure is set to overlook the 18th green at the
Celtic Manor Resort in Newport next year.
Stakeholders, partners and sponsors will mingle with VIP guests in the facility. Elsewhere Arena will supply the Past Captains Club and the International Media Centre.
“This
is one of the most anticipated events in the sporting calendar, which
deserves and demands the best," said Ryder Cup match director Edward Kitson. "We have examined many criteria in making our selection of contractors for the forthcoming Ryder Cup, from setting new standards in environmental sustainability to creativity, and I am delighted at the prospect of working with Arena Structures again.”
The
win has bolstered Arena Structures' union with the golfing giant and
its ongoing relationship with the PGA European Tour. The company also
supplied the 18th green facility at Ireland's The K Club in 2006 and
next year Arena unites its subsdiaries Arena Scaffolding and Spaceworks to bring optimum structural and interior design expertise to the 2010 golfing event.
