When Ocean Sky The Private Jet Company partnered with Inter- Continental London Park Lane, the  cocktail cost  altimeter hit a resounding £30,000 for two people!

“The Ocean Sky Cocktail” was unveiled at a glamorous launch party at InterContinental London Park Lane, itself recently refurbished to the tune of £76 million. Around 250 guests filled the guest list, from The Earl of Bradford to Harvey Goldsmith and electric violinist Linzi Stoppard, to sample the creation at a Las Vegas-style party.

The cocktail was created by Joel Lawrence (pictured above, centre), InterContinental’s bar manager and head mixologist, and will be available exclusively at the hotel. Order in advance and the cocktail will be mixed by Joel Lawrence himself. Lawrence spent several weeks creating the Ocean Sky Cocktail. He learned his craft in luxury boutique hotels in New York, Los Angeles and Miami Beach. The ingredients include Kauffman Private Collection Vodka, Chambord and Dom Perignon Champagne Lawrence’s own “secret ingredients”.

He says, unsurprisingly; “I have had various test runs and had no problems in getting guinea pigs to try out the cocktail. I now believe I have created one of the best cocktails available in any hotel or bar around the world.”

A free gift that comes with the cocktail should soften the blow of the £30,000 price tag. The buyer and one other guest will be collected from anywhere in the UK in a chauffeur driven Maybach which will glide to the nearest suitable airport where an Ocean Sky Bombardier Challenger 604 will fly the passengers to Rome. In Rome they will be chauffeured to the InterContinental Hotel for a two-night stay in a luxury suite. After their stay, they will fly back on the same aircraft and driven by Maybach to their home(s).

 
“We thought that at the £30,000 asking price we should include a stunning gift” says Ocean Sky. “Part of this was a top private jet from our fleet, a Challenger 604. The aircraft normally carries nine people in ultimate luxury. The cocktail buyers will have this sensational wide bodied jet for themselves with a personal flight attendant and two pilots.”
