Global agency Imagination bolstered its claim of "liberating creativity" with an innovative exhibition of neon art by Imagination designer Yazmany Arboleda.
The "New Vitruvians" exhibition was staged at Imagination's Store Street headquarters on
15th September for one day only as part of the architectural weekend,
"London Open House". It then moved on to private members' club Shed for
a five-week residency.
Arboleda's exhibition earned praise in
New York where it features in the flagship store of design icon Issey
Miyake. "New Vitruvians" represents a detailed focus on human image and
Arboleda uses large-scale neon sphere paintings, 3-D sculptures and
"ball dresses"
to convey the detail.
Putting
its money where its mouth is, Imagination supported Arboleda
(environmental designer at its New York office) through its "Creative
Partnership" programme. The programme sponsors staff who want to
explore their creative flourish outside of work. "It's great that we're
hosting Yazmany's installation," said Douglas Broadley, CEO of
Imagination Europe. "It's also true to the belief in liberating
creativity that's at the very heart of our company."
