Here come the girls...

Event organisers have to be a versatile breed as demonstrated by Concorde Media when the company combined a charity internet auction with a fashion show and a film premiere.

The film, 27 Dresses, shares the same screenwriter as The Devil Wears Prada which itself shared the services of Concorde Media  to stage a hugely successful launch.

"Concorde Media organises many of 20th Century Fox's premieres," explains its MD, Chrissie Ferber. "We were asked to work on 27 Dresses for three very different projects."

This saw Concorde Media being briefed to source a minimum of 27 dresses for an eBay charity internet auction on 4 March.

Celebrities ranging from Paris Hilton to Amy Winehouse donated designer frocks for the  live eBay auction to raise money for breast cancer charity, The Lavender Trust, and mark the release romantic comedy,  27 Dresses.

Notable donations included a white John Galliano gown worn by Kylie Minogue  and
dresses by Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell and Renee Zellweger. The final dresses were auctioned off at the end of March and, continuing the 27 theme, the film hits cinemas on 27 March.

"We also organised the fashion show at Sketch showcasing all the dresses," says Chrissie Ferber. "This was hosted by Mica Paris and filmed by BBC News, Reuters, Living TV and attended by showbiz press and fashion editors
and featured in OK! magazine."

The third part of the triptych saw Ferber organise the film's gala screening at Apollo West End. "Three hundred guests attended and the post screening party was hosted by Sketch," she says. "The venue was changed from fashion show catwalk to party venue within two hours. We supplied the services of media management, celeb management and event management. "

Celebrity guests included Sugababes, Jimmy Choo, Liz McClarnon, Danielle Lloyd,
Beverley Knight and David Gandy. They were lapped up by press including the likes of Now, Reveal, Closer and nationals, Daily Star and Daily Mirror.

"Guests were treated to champagne and stunning Sketch canapes," says Ferber "taking home gorgeous 27 Dresses goodie bags packed with
Paul Mitchell and Clinique products, both brand partners to the title
."
